Heartland Gas Pipeline delivers clean-burning natural gas originating in the Western United States and Canada, allowing customers to better manage costs to Indiana's consumers and businesses while ensuring the reliability of Indiana's natural gas supply.
A joint venture of ProLiance Transportation and Storage-Heartland and Citizens Resources, the Heartland Gas Pipeline begins at an interconnect with the Midwestern Gas Transmission system in Sullivan County, Indiana and extends about 25 miles to the Citizens Gas Underground Storage facilities in Greene County, Indiana. Heartland owns and operates a 16-inch diameter pipeline to transport up to 80,000 Dth/day of natural gas to Central Indiana.
Heartland Gas Pipeline is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Indiana. The operations, services, and rates of Heartland are governed by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. The pipeline was placed into service in December, 2006.
